MY THOUGHTS ON 2020
I would like to offer personal observations that I believe provide strong credibility towards proving this 2020 year to be a very unique time in history for making certain that this topic weighs heavily on the hearts and minds of every American.
It is interesting to watch the people protest and flex their muscles against their state legislatures regarding police reform and violence.
It is noteworthy to watch the states flex their sovereignty against the federal government and vice versa.
Government at all levels is arguing amongst themselves, studying precedents, looking for where their boundaries and responsibilities begin and end. I cannot quite compare a time of a pandemic with the Wall Street collapse of 2008 as there was not a massive health concern involved; however, I will note that it happened because of the fraudulent, rampant mishandling of MONEY.
Urgent solutions were sought and provided as hastily as possible to bail out these massive banks, mortgage lenders, insurance companies, airlines, auto manufacturers, etc. by Congress; yet, today with autumn approaching, schools starting (not starting), small businesses failing, common folk losing their health insurance as a result of job loss, the uncertainty of managing your children's education and your job because of the if, when, and how the two will co-exist; I am of the opinion that not in recent history has there been such an equivalent time that demonstrates the ineffectiveness, unaccountability, lack of outside the box thinking, failure to diversify or hardly reflect any aspects nor concerns of the people I call friends, been represented by Congress.
Now, amid all of the turmoil, is just the time to illuminate the failure, dysfunction, disregard, indecisiveness, and unproductiveness of this broken Entity of Cronyism known as Congress.
